JULY 2 >> "PUBLIC ENEMIES" WRAPPED.

Incase some of you have not heard already, the filming for "Public Enemies" wrapped up for good in Arcadia, California back on Monday. From Just Jared:

Johnny Depp finishes filming his last few scenes and then pops open a cold bottle of cerveza after wrapping up Public Enemies in Arcadia, Calif. on Monday.

Depp, 45, had a bag of gifts for the cast and crew that he passed around the set. Stephen Dorff received an antique wooden toy pistol as they toasted to coronas.

Public Enemies is due to be released in July 2009.

First of all, I returned from vacation a few days ago. x3 And... I added two signatures, along with six matching avatars.

I know this update is really short, but I haven't had much time to add any major content these past few days, so I apologize for that. ;-; But I do have *a lot* of stuff that I need to do on this site, including a large gallery update, and adding pages to the filmography. How fun. xD

JUNE 12 >> GOING ON VACATION

Yes; another hiatus! But this one is required. x3 It is time for my yearly vacation with my family. I'm really excited, like I always am. xD Anyway, I will be gone from June 14 through June 21. Of course, there will be no updates during that time period.

When I get back... I will probably work on adding more pages to the "Filmography" section, and maybe work on adding some signatures and icons. ^-^ So we will see.

There’s no other actor that the British love more than Johnny Depp, shows a new poll.

The actor topped a survey of 3,000 people aged seven-years-old and over by the Cinema Advertising Association (CAA), a trade association of cinema advertising sales contractors operating in the UK.

In fact, Depp is so popular among the Brits, that he took the majority of the votes across all ages and genders. He beat the likes of 007 Daniel Craig, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Sir Sean Connery and Orlando Bloom to take the top spot, reports the Daily Express.

CAA spokeswoman Anna Cremin said that it was the actor’s versatility that appealed to audiences the most. "Depp has such a wide appeal demonstrated by moving from serious films like Donnie Brasco to blockbusters and comedies. Few other actors have managed to be so versatile," she told the paper.

Finally. I managed to get the time to make a new layout for the site. At first, I wasn't that crazy about it--but the more I look at it, the more I realize that it isn't that bad. It's a heck-of-a-lot better than the last layout; that's for sure. Also, the message board got a new look! And the message board's new layout IS a lot better than its previous layout. xD Anyway, I hope you enjoy the new look! x3

What is next for this site? Well, I have several "Filmography" pages to add--but most can wait until after this site is re-done. Once I get the "From Hell" and "Blow" pages up, then I intend to make this site a new layout and have the whole site revamped by [hopefully] June 14. So we will see what I can come up with. ^-^

JUNE 2 >> MTV AWARDS & DARK SHADOWS

Johnny won the MTV Movie Awards for both categories he was nominated for: "Best Villain" for Sweeney Todd and "Best Comedic Performance" for Pirates 3. <3 He was absolutely stunning. I think that out of all the people who went up on that stage, people screamed for him the most! Congratulations, Johnny!! For anyone who may of missed the show, you can view a video of Johnny winning the awards below:

I will try and post pictures soon! And... Johnny Depp got a new tattoo! It is three lines of writing: Silence Exile Cunning. It is a quote from a James Joyce book:

"I will not serve that in which I no longer believe, whether it call itself my home, my fatherland, or my church: and I will try to express myself in some mode of life or art as freely as I can and as wholly as I can, using for my defence the only arms I allow myself to use - silence, exile, and cunning."

According to IESB.net, Tim Burton is set to direct the upcoming movie Dark Shadows, which is a film based off of over 1,225 episodes of the classic supernatural television series dating from 1966 to 1971. John August is set to be writing the film adaptation.

Dark Shadows is in development over at Johnny Depp's Infinitum-Nihil and Graham King's GK Films along with Warner Bros. However, the rumors of whether or not Johnny will be starring in the film as Barnabus Collins is still yet to be confirmed.

MAY 30 >> JOHNNY TO BE PRESENTING AT MTV AWARDS

It has been confirmed that Johnny Depp will be appearing at the MTV Movie Awards, and will also be presenting an award! We don't know which award, but I guess we will find out?

Other big-name presenters will include Tom Cruise, Will Smith, Steve Carell, and Robert Downey Jr.

Remember that Johnny is nominated for "Best Villian" for Sweeney Todd and for "Best Comedic Performance" for Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End.

The MTV Movie Awards will take place on Sunday, June 1 at 8 pm EST.

MAY 26 >> "The Man Who Killed Don Quixote" continues?

MONTY PYTHON star MICHAEL PALIN looks set to be tempted out of retirement with a role starring alongside Hollywood actor JOHNNY DEPP.

The British comedian is reportedly in talks with director Terry Gilliam to star in his much-delayed movie The Man Who Killed Don Quixote.

Production was originally halted on the film in 2000 after lead actor Jean Rochefort fell ill and part of the set was lost in a flood.

However, Gilliam is due to restart production next year (09), with Depp reprising his role.

And the moviemaker has now reportedly turned to Palin to take on Rochefort's character.

A source tells British newspaper the Daily Express, "Terry passionately believes that Michael should get back into films and feels he would make an excellent Don Quixote."

Palin announced earlier this year (Feb08) that he was retiring from the movie business as he has had "his fill of acting".

MAY 12 >> BACK FROM HIATUS.

Alright. I am *finally* back from hiatus! So here is my current plan for the site: 1] Create/design a new layout for the website. 2] Make the overall site/navigation more organized. 3] Add more information to the "Filmography" pages.

Now, I am not for sure when I can get around to making a new layout. This Friday on May 16 is my birthday, so I will be celebrating by seeing the next "Narnia" movie, Prince Caspian. And Saturday morning, we're going out of town for the weekend so... I'll be away from Photoshop. I have a feeling the layout will not be up until I am out of school for the summer, which will be next week on May 20. So I will probably start on it then once I am out. x3

"Public Enemies" to resume filming in Columbus
The cast and crew of the Hollywood movie "Public Enemies" will be back running around two Wisconsin cities on Monday and Tuesday.

Filming of the movie, starring Johnny Depp and Christian Bale, is set to take place in Columbus and Beaver Dam.

Shooting is scheduled at a Columbus home on Monday and then in Beaver Dam on Tuesday at the Rogers Hotel, WISC-TV reported.

More filming is expected in Columbus on Tuesday afternoon.

Parts of the movie were filmed in Columbus back in march.

The movie is about the life of notorious, Depression-era bank robber John Dillinger, with Depp taking the starring role.
