A rep for Johnny Depp has confirmed that the actor will direct a documentary on Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards, Variety reports. News of Depp working on a doc about the guitar god first surfaced in an interview with Russia’s Politika, where Depp said his editor is in the process of going through miles of archival footage. “I’m very touched that Keith agreed to show up in front of my cameras,” Depp said.

The February 2010 calendar is now available! View it below:
Johnny Depp and his partner Vanessa Paradis are due to record vocals for a charity single in aid of Haiti earthquake vctims.
The couple are teaming up with The Pogues frontman Shane MacGowan and Primal Scream singer Bobbie Gillespie.
Their song, a cover of 1956 hit I Put A Spell On You, will also include vocals from Australian crooner Nick Cave and, possibly, Simply Red's Mick Hucknall.
The project is the latest in a string of celebrity fundraising. On Tuesday Jennifer Aniston donated $500,000 to the cause, while George Clooney's all-star telethon has raised a huge $58 million so far.

Announced today (January 29), a new 60-second teaser will join all the big budget advertisements airing during football's biggest event on February 7,
Entitled 'Tick-Tock,' the one-minute preview gives a real peek down the Rabbit hole with Johnny Depp (as the Mad Hatter), Helena Bonham Carter (as The Red Queen), Anne Hathaway (as The White Queen), Stephen Fry (as The Cheshire Cat), Christopher Lee (as The Jabberwock) and newcomer, Australian Mia Wasikowska (as Alice).
According to Disney marketing chief David Singh in a release, “Fans are eager to get a glimpse at what Tim Burton has done with these brilliant characters, and we’re ready to give it to them."
Okay, so, Haloscan is shutting down in February. Haloscan is the website that I use to provide the ability for users to comment on news entries here. It was very simple, and I loved it. I have not been able to find a proper substitute that does NOT require a database. I would love Wordpress, but I don't feel like paying out extra money for a database that it requires at the moment, so... I have no choice but to remove commenting altogether until I can find a new commenting or blogging system.
In the meantime, you will have to use the shout-box (which is located in the side column) for posting all of your comments.

January 20, 2010 >> Johnny on the cover of GQ.
Johnny Depp will be on the February cover of GQ magazine! The new issue is expected to hit the stores and newsstands on January 26. Johnny made it at the top of the list of GQ's "25 Most Stylish Men in the World."
Johnny Depp appears smiling, tattooed, and bare-chested on the cover of February’s GQ, and even unclothed, makes the magazine’s list of the 25 most stylish men in the world for 2010. In the accompanying article, Barney’s creative director Simon Doonan sums up why, explaining, “Johnny Depp’s a unicorn—a really glamorous, one-of-a-kind eccentric. He wears great man jewelry. He doesn’t shy away from color. He’s always peeking through his amazing hair. It doesn’t matter if Johnny Depp’s lying in a ditch—he’s always going to look incredible.”
Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides - the franchise's fourth instalment starring Johnny Depp - will begin shooting this summer on Oahu and Kauai and will be released in 2011.
"We've always sought out the most extraordinary and exotic locations ... Hawaii provides an amazing range of both land and seascapes, and we're delighted to return for On Stranger Tides," producer Jerry Bruckheimer said in a statement.
Small portions of Pirates Of The Caribbean: At World's End were shot on Maui and Molokai.
Hawaii governor Linda Lingle estimated the production will generate 85 million dollars in spending in Hawaii, which is reeling from the steep drop-off in tourism stemming from the global economic crisis.
